FURLA OPENS SHANGHAI STORE
Furla has opened its first flagship store in Shanghai. The boutique is located in the center, in the West Nanjing Road shopping area, as part of the "CITIC Square Mall". Furla CITIC is the luxury brand's first store in China, and is spread over two floors with a total area of 300 square metre. The flagship store also has the first and largest LED facade - 234 square metres - which creates a three dimensional effect.
FRENCH LUXURY LABEL LONGCHAMP TO DEBUT IN INDIA
French luxury leather goods brand Longchamp has announced its India entry and will open its first store in New Delhi this week. DOIT Retail Brands has bagged the master franchise rights for Longchamp in India. Leather goods major Longchamp was founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain and is still owned and run by the Cassegrain family.
HOMME PLISSÉ DEBUTS IN TOKYO WITH ITS FIRST STORE
Homme Plissé Issey Miyake is a new concept of clothing for contemporary man, born of the original technical development of pleating created by the Japanese designer. The line uses materials which do not crease, quick-drying and is characterized by uniform folds, such that the fabric rests gently to the skin.
CHEESECAKE FACTORY CHINA OPENS AT RESORT
US food brand has opened the first The Cheesecake Factory China under a licensing agreement with its affiliate CCD China Operating Corporation. Being run by Hong Kong-based Maxim’s Caterers, the restaurant is in Disneytown, the shopping, dining and entertainment precinct in Shanghai Disney Resort. The outlet has a menu of more than 200 items.

IKEA INKS DEAL FOR JEDDAH MALL ANCHOR STORE
Arabian Centres, the Saudi-based developer, owner and operator of shopping malls, announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a tenancy agreement that will see Swedish giant IKEA open in Jeddah. The deal has been signed with Ghassan Ahmed Al Sulaiman Furniture Trading Co Ltd and IKEA Saudi Arabia to open an anchor store in Al Salaam Mall in Jeddah.
MALL OF QATAR WELCOMES RETAILERS AHEAD OF LAUNCH
Doha-based new shopping destination Mall of Qatar (MOQ) organised a welcome aboard event for all major anchor retailers and future tenants on May 31. The event showcased MOQ at an advanced stage of completion with a site tour that detailed the readiness to the retailers.
JORDANIAN MALL SIGNS UP FRENCH & UK FASHION BRANDS
Abdali Mall Company (AMC), a privately-owned land development company in Amman, Jordan, has reached a deal with leading fashion brands Tati and Matalan to open their outlets at its shopping mall, according to a report by Trade Arabia. With a total built up area of over 227,000 sq m, Abdali Mall extends over five floors above ground level.
AL FUTTAIM TO OPEN FRENCH FASHION BA&SH OUTLET AT CITY WALK IN DUBAI
While the UAE’s luxury retailers are feeling the brunt of the strong dollar and the fall in high-spending Russian tourists, the Al Futtaim group has plans to open another high-end boutique. The UAE retailer is bringing the French fashion house, ba&sh, to the Middle East, with the first outlet set to open in Dubai’s City Walk in the fourth quarter.

SMIGGLE TO OPEN AT FRENCHGATE
Australian stationery brand Smiggle is to join the line-up at Doncaster's Frenchgate shopping centre as part of plans to open 200 new outlets across the country by 2019. The new store will open its doors on 17 June. As well as stocking colourful and quirky stationery aimed at children, the store will also sell a range of bags, lunch boxes, drinks bottles, watches, clocks, lighting, toys and games.
THREE SIGN IN WOOD GREEN
Deichmann, Choice and Warren James boost retail offer at The Mall Wood Green. Capital & Regional has agreed terms with three leading retailers, Choice, Deichmann and Warren James at The Mall Wood Green. Discount designer outlet Choice has agreed to occupy 12,000 sq ft of space on a lease term of 10 years and will open in late July. Deichmann has also agreed to take 4,500 sq ft of space on 10 year lease, together with Warren James, the leading independent British jeweller.
COS ARRIVES IN BRERA
Gucci notified last April their intention to close the doors of their menswear store, after 3 years of opening. COS rented the shop on two floors and have signed an agreement with Toro insurance (Generali Group) , owner of the entire building. The brand already has two stores in Milan, one on Corso Venezia and the other on Corso Vercelli.
ORANGE JOINS APPLE IN THE OPERA DISTRICT
French mulinational telecommunications corporation, Orange, has rented retail space located close to the Apple Store. The space is located between the Place de l'Opera and major department stores, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. The transaction was conducted by the Retail Department of BNP Paribas Real Estate.

FOREVER 21 SET TO OPEN AT HUNTINGTON MALL
With 1997m2 of space in the Huntington mall forever 21 announces its opening by July’s end. Coming with the announcement of forever 21 brings the opportunity for other popular stores to enter as well with other store closures in the mall. Forever 21 is a world famous fashion retailer with women’s, men’s, children clothing and accessories.
VERSACE OPENING FIRST BOSTON STORE IN COPLEY PLACE
Donatella Versace brings her refined sense of Italian style to Boston this month with the opening of a brand-new boutique at Copley Place. Designed by English architect and frequent Versace collaborator Jamie Fobert, the 2,700-square-foot space blends traditional Italian architecture (ninth-century mosaic floors) with chic modern elements (Perspex walls and floating shelves).
MACERICH TO BRING PRIMARK AND ZARA TO KINGS PLAZA IN BROOKLYN
Two sought-after European retailers, Primark and Zara, will join the company's market-dominant Kings Plaza in Brooklyn. Primark will anchor a redevelopment that includes the complete transformation of the Sears building at Kings Plaza. The Sears store will close in mid-September; until then the store will be open for customers.
BROOKSHIRE GROCERY CO. TO DEBUT NEW STORE BRAND SPRING MARKET
Brookshire Grocery Co. is expanding with a new neighborhood format. The Tyler, Texas-based supermarket operator will open 26 locations this summer under its new Spring Market banner. The stores will be on the sites of former Walmart Express stores that Brookshire is in the process of acquiring. (The acquisition is scheduled to close in July.)
